Is Your Website Optimized For Conversion?

There is a lot of talk about how difficult it is to get good quality traffic to your sites but few people talk about what to do with that traffic once it hits your landing page.

It seems crazy but it’s the truth, people have become so blinded by traffic that they forget to make sure their website is setup to convert. This means they spend a fortune in both time and money driving traffic to poorly optimized landing pages that never fulfill their earning potential.

Today’s post is a thought-provoking one. In this post, I’m going to throw you a few questions about your landing page. You may call it a checklist. I hope it can give you an insight into how well your landing page is optimized for conversion.

1) Is Your Landing Page ‘Scannable’?

Eye tracking studies have shown that there is a set way that the majority of people use to read webpages. Generally they start at the top left corner and slowly scan through the page picking out the key things that interest them.

This means using a combination of short paragraphs, bullet points, bolding, colors, etc to get attention to the things that need attention and to make it easy for people to read what you have to say. Just make sure you don’t overdo it as trying to make too much stand out will end up with none of it getting any attention.

2) How Soon Will Your Visitors Get The Answer Of ‘What’s In It For Me?’?

When someone lands on your website the first thing they will ask is ‘what’s in it for me?’ If you introduce yourself rather than addressing this right at the beginning, people will not read more than a few words before leaving your site.

So, always start off by telling the visitor what they have to gain if they continue reading and use lots of ‘you’ focused language throughout the page to relate everything to them individually.

3) How Fast Can You Make Your Visitors Trust You?

Once you’ve gained your visitors’ interests, the next immediate challenge is trust. The faster you can gain their trust, the higher the chance that they will read your entire landing page.

Many things can affect how fast you can build trust. They include the design of your website (does it look like a scam site or a trust-worthy site), the use of testimonials, the use of external recognitions such as awards, 3rd party site ranking etc, and having your own photo on the landing page.

4) Is Your Copywriting ‘Hypnotic’?

Copywriting is an important element in traffic conversion. You’ll be surprised that certain words can chase people away from your site while certain words can get people to take action. Also, you have to vary the usage of words so as to appeal to different modalities, namely kinesthetic, visual and auditory. For example, ‘imagine this…’, ‘can you see what I mean…’ and ‘listen to me…’ all have different impact on different modalities of people.

5) Do Your Visitors Know Exactly What They Are Expected To Do Next?

Many websites and landing pages fail simply because they do not tell the visitor what to do next. If your visitor reaches the end of the page and there is no link or instruction on what you want them to do next they will most likely leave your website.

If you want people to stay on your website then give them a link to another article that might interest them. The only time you may want them to leave is to take the desired action (e.g. visit the product you are promoting or opt-in to your list), but even in this case you still need a clear link that tells them what to do next!

Traffic conversion is an important skill that every internet marketer must master. I remembered when I first started, I spent more than $2000 on a course on traffic conversion. The good thing about traffic conversion courses is that you can apply the strategies immediately and you can see the benefit right away. I remembered applying just one strategy that turned one of my websites from 3 figures to 4 figures a month. Not a lot, but that’s just one strategy on one website!

If you would like to get a good course on traffic conversion, I suggest that you take a look at Conversion Rate Course by traffic conversion expert, Paul Bryant. It has everything you need to know, from sales funneling strategies to copywriting to real-life examples (which is lacking in many traffic conversion courses).

Viral Marketing Ideas And Examples - 7 Powerful Strategies

Recently I’m thinking of more viral marketing ideas and examples that I can use for my online businesses. As the saying goes, give and thou shall receive. Here I am giving you my best kept viral marketing ideas. If you’ve come across any others, feel free to share them in the comments below.

1. Organize a referral contest

Organizing a referral contest has been an old-schooled viral marketing idea, yet it is still extremely effective. The thing about contest is that it can stir up people’s adrenaline and encourage people to work extra hard to promote for you.

For example, you can create a referral contest with 2 chances of winning. First chance is a lucky draw, where those who refer just 4 people to your website can quality to win say $100. Second chance is top referral, where the best 3 referrals can walk away with $1000 each. This way, you can encourage everyone to refer at least 4 people while at the same time give the power affiliates a chance to show their full potential.

2. Provide free ‘viral’ online services

Whenever I talk about free viral services, I like to mention Google. Besides being a search engine, Google has really created tons of useful applications, such as Google Map, Google Doc, Google Analytics, Google Mail, etc that we can use free. Whenever we use these applications, we are indirectly helping Google to establish its branding and increase its market awareness.

In fact, this is the model that our website, LeadsLeap.com, is adopting. For example, we create free tools like Slidesense and MYOB list builder script that members can use for free. Since all our tools carries a link to our website, as more and more people use our tools, even more people are checking us out. We have been online since 2008 and you can see from our Alexa ranking that we are still very strong. This viral strategy has contributed to our success significantly.

3. Target-based referral program

Another viral strategy that we adopt is target-based referral program, where we set a minimum target for our referrals to hit. In specific, when our members reach 20 referrals, they will receive free advertising credits EVERY MONTH. This is another strategy that has worked wonders.

4. Bait post

The idea of a bait post is to turn your blog post into an online resource that other people will link to. You must have seen in forums and Q&A type of sites such as Ask Yahoo! where people reference an external site for the answer to a particular question. That’s an example of a bait post.

Of course, for a bait post to work, you must first write high quality blog that really solve people’s problem.

But does it mean as long as you write a good blog, people will link to you? Of course NOT! In most cases, a blog post becomes a ‘bait’ when it ranks high in the search engine for a particular question. What happens is when people want to answer other people’s questions, they will Google. When they find a good reference, they will post that reference in their answers.

I know what you are thinking. This sounds like mission impossible. At LeadsLeap, we don’t leave things to chance. We have lots of people linking to our blog posts  because each of our blog post is an affiliate link. This means by referring people to any of our blog post, they are at the same time building their referrals!

5. ‘Sure-win’ referral program

I have a client who pays people 5 cents to every email sent out to promote his business. I call this ’sure-win’ referral program because regardless of whether people make any purchase, as long as you send out the email, you will be paid. He has been doing that since 2007 and have paid over $20k to people. I’m sure this trick has worked well for him.

6. Video marketing

The power of video marketing is well known. If you can produce useful how-to videos for your niche site and publish them on Youtube, those videos can bring you traffic for years.

This viral marketing idea is especially useful for niches that involve skills, such as cooking, scrapbooking and magic tricks because at the end of your video, you say say something like ‘for more magic tricks, please visit YourSite.com.’. Since those who watch your video are craving for more tricks, chances are they will visit your website.

7. Leverage on social networking

Last but not least is viral marketing through social networking. One good example is the use of Facebook Like. By encouraging people to ‘like’ you on their Facebook, you are exposed to all their friends who potentially have the same interest. Eventhough the exposure is short-lived, if some of their friends also start to ‘like’ you, this thing can go very viral.

Have you come across any interesting viral marketing ideas and examples? As I said, I’m looking for more ideas. If you have, please share with me and the rest of our readers in the comment section below. I thank you in advance!

My Best Website Traffic Strategies

My intention of today’s discussion is to encourage our readers, i.e. YOU, to share with us what are some of your preferred website traffic strategies.

Feel free to discuss your preferred traffic strategies in the comment section below.

Let me kick start the discussion with 3 of my best website traffic strategies.

1) Advertising

Think about this question: If you are totally new to a market, with no network, no JV partners, no customer and no leads, how are you going to establish a presence in the market?

Well, one way is to actively promote your website through social medias such as facebook and forums. But that takes a lot of time and effort. A faster alternative is advertising.

There are 2 types of people when it comes to advertising:

- The first type are those who advertise with the aim to make some sales and hence recover the advertising cost with a good profit.

- The second type are those who advertise with the aim to build a network. Immediate recovery of the advertising cost is secondary because the network they have built will eventually pay back the advertising costs and much more.

It’s hard to say which type of advertisers is better. But personally, I belong to the second type. How about you?

2) Search Engine Traffic

The good thing about search engine traffic is that it is free and pretty sustainable. The challenge is it costs time, money and know-how to build that traffic.

The SEO game is a long-term game (at least 6 - 12 months). Most people fail because they are looking for short-term results. As I’ve discussed in my previous posts, with the launch of Google Caffeine, the emphasis is now on site authority, and one of the major factors that determine site authority is the age of the website.

If you do not have the patience to build links and wait, then what you can do is to leverage on authority sites that allow you to post articles, such as Squidoo and Ezinearticles. These sites have established their authority status and if you post an article to it, with some link building effort, you can easily get it rank well in Google. Then, you can try to channel the traffic back to your own website. The ‘route’ is a little longer, but it’s not a bad move since the traffic is free and tend to be long-term.

3) Word Of Mouth

The best form of traffic is probably word-of-mouth traffic. It’s the best because it is free, and the best part is you don’t have to worry whether Google likes you tomorrow!

Word-of-mouth is the true power of social networking. Instead of you tactfully and subtly promoting your website in facebook, twitter, forums, etc., you now have other people recommending your website through all kinds of channels.

You can speed up the word-of-mouth process with a good referral program. This is something I have been emphasizing, but many marketers are still not having their own referral program, especially affiliate marketers.

Most affiliate marketers limit their traffic sources to advertising, search engine and self-promotion in social medias. Can affiliates who promote other people’s products run their own affiliate programs? The answer is definitely YES. In fact that should be the way.

You can always create a product that caters to the market you are promoting, and recruit your own affiliates to promote that product while on the other hand, you promote other people’s products to the traffic that you receive.

There you have it, my best website traffic strategies. I have been using these 3 strategies since 2006 to build a pretty stable online empire. How about you? Share with us your best traffic strategies. Even if it’s a repeat of the three I’ve discussed, it’s still good to list it down and tell your own experience. I thank you for your contribution in advance.

Happy Thanksgiving!

How To Build A Sustainable Online Business

Making money online is hard, but building a sustainable online business is even harder. Is it true? Well, not quite, if you know the secrets.

Over the years, I have seen a couple of marketers who made quite a bit of money online and then quit internet marketing totally. Some of those whom I asked said they find it hard to maintain the income. Eventually, they got tired and gave up.

Like it or not, internet marketing is NOT a job. You can’t expect to be paid months after months, with increments every few years. If that’s what you are looking for, go get a JOB (a.k.a Just Over Broke).

Whether you are doing affiliate marketing, Adsense marketing or providing online services, internet marketing is a business, which means you need to keep on promoting your website or your income will drop. That’s where most ‘once successful’ marketers fail.

I started earning full-time income from the internet since 2006 and it’s been 4 years now. 4 years isn’t long, but I guess the fact that I’m still around and one of my flagship sites, LeadsLeap.com, is still doing well after 3 years, I think I’m qualified to share with you some tips on how to build a sustainable online business.

The Secrets Of Building A Sustainable Online Business

Let’s keep it simple. To me, there are only 2 secrets. 1) Passive income. 2) Passive traffic.

1) Passive Income

I’m sure you are familiar with the term ‘Passive Income’.

Passive income can be built in 2 ways:

i) Selling something with recurring fee, such as MLM, membership program, subscription-based services, etc.

Study your business and ask yourself if it has a passive income model. If it doesn’t, the money you make is just as good as winning a lottery. And you should rethink your business model.

For example, if you are an affiliate marketer in the Forex market, instead of promoting a Forex ebook, you should focus on promoting Forex membership programs. If you are a Forex expert, instead of writing a Forex ebook, you should create a Forex trading system. I believe you get the idea.

ii) Selling a one-time-fee product, but with continuous flow of traffic to make this income recurring.

If you happen to be in an industry that is hard to create a membership program, you will need to have continuous flow of traffic to your website so that there are people buying your ebook or clicking your Adsense ads all the time.

The question is, with so many traffic strategies available, which one should you focus on in order to get this continuous flow of traffic? This is when you need to understand the concept of Passive Traffic.

2) Passive Traffic

Many marketers talk about passive income. But very few marketers talk about passive traffic. To me, passive traffic is more important than passive income. It is an extremely important key to building a sustainable online business.

Passive traffic refers to traffic that come to your website without your active involvement in promoting your website for a few months. If you have an effective passive traffic system for your website, you can at least take a few weeks of break to do something else, such as developing a new business, instead of having to worry about traffic every day.

Is List Traffic Passive?

Thanks to the hype of list building, many people thought if they have a list, they are going to be rich. But the truth is, most ‘once-successful’ marketers have got a huge list, yet they quit.

List traffic is not truly passive. It is what I call recycled traffic. Your list’s interest in you and the product you offer may die sooner than you think, depending on the niche you are in. Hence it’s a good habit not to count on your list as a form of passive traffic.

Passive Traffic You Should Focus On

The first passive traffic is referral traffic. Having a referral system in your website is essential, but not enough. Referral traffic has to be nurtured. You have to give enough reasons for your affiliates to promote your products and services, else you can assume they won’t!

The second passive traffic is search engine traffic. But there is a catch. As you know, the main thing about search engine traffic is link building. To get consistent search engine traffic, you need consistent growth of backlinks to your website. That will be a time-consuming task for many marketers.

Last but not least is advertising traffic. Advertising traffic is not truly passive, but once it’s set up and tested, it can work for some time without much involvement from you. You may have to monitor the conversion regularly, but it’s not an everyday task.

In Conclusion

The best thing that can happen is to build a ‘passive income system’ with a ‘passive traffic system’. This is what I strive to achieve in all my online businesses and probably the reason that they can do well for years.

In this post, I mentioned that referral traffic has to be nurtured. In my next post, I’m going to discuss some ways to nurture your referrals. Stay tuned!

3 Simple Online Traffic Strategies You Can Start Using Today

In today’s blog, I’ve invited Henry Zeng, founder of henryzeng.com and autotrafficmagnet.com, to share with us how he generates traffic to his websites. Read on to find out what he has to share with us……

First off, traffic isn’t something that happens overnight. It is something you have to build on a daily basis. You need to set up a strategy and work on it every day to build a flow of visitors to your site from different sources.

1) Forum Marketing Traffic Flow

The first tactic I want to share is to use forums and message boards to start drawing traffic (and sales) immediately.

Online communities, or forums, are great channels to promote your links. You will be allotted a signature box, where you can put your links on. For every post you make, your signature box
appears.

Obviously, you can only do this through your signature link, and every forum has its own rules about how signature spaces can be used.

The best way to find forums in your niche is to do a search in Google for something like “[your market] forum”, or by searching directories like http://Big-Boards.com and http://BoardReader.com. You’ll also want to check if Google Groups has any relevant categories as well.

No money spent, no website required, nothing to lose. And there is no looking back. The traffic you can pull from this strategy alone is incredible.

2) Download Directory Submission

I haven’t realized until recently that there are a lot of million-dollar software companies out there whose primary marketing strategy isn’t affiliates, SEO, PPC or any “typical” marketing tactics.

They get almost all of their traffic straight off software directories like http://Download.com, http://TuCows.com, and thousands of other sites like these.

This tactic involves creating free software like screensavers, rss readers, web toolbars and then submitting to software directories.

Actually you don’t need to create those applications at all. You can just use a HTML to EXE converter software and turn your salespage into an .exe application. Do a search on Google and you will find several free converters available.

The software directories require you to use what is called a pad file to get all the information about your software.

After you create your software, you then can use a pad file submission program to submit your pad file to 1000s of directories. I personally use a paid software called Robosoft to submit all the software I create.

This tactic is quite successful to me. All the software I submitted brings me some nice, consistent traffic. It’s extra 40 subscribers or more per day.

3) Automated Traffic Program

I’m not referring to any kind of auto/manual traffic exchange programs here. You don’t visit sites, you don’t manually click sites, you don’t get worthless un-targeted traffic.

Auto Traffic Magnet (ATM) is a viral advertising network I just launched that you can expose your ads and get automated traffic. More importantly, it promises higher CONVERSIONS–sign-ups and sales.

You simply have to use ATM to cloak your affiliate links. Once you’ve created at least 1 ATM link and your own ATM ad, you can start to generate traffic.

How To Convert Traffic Into Sales? (Part 3)

In this concluding episode of How To Convert Traffic Into Sales, we are going to discuss strategies to increase the conversion of traffic into sales of your own products.

If you are a product owner, the key to converting traffic into sales is really in the overall game plan, which is made up of the following objectives:

1) Proof
2) Hook
3) Offer
4) Over-deliver
5) Offer again

1) Proof

When traffic comes to your product site, your main objective is to prove to the visitors that your site is a trustworthy site and your product can meet their needs.

This is when you demonstrate your copywriting skills.

Some of the tricks that can help you to achieve this objective include testimonials, case studies, your photo, a video intro from you and as suggested by one of our readers, a link to your Facebook account.

2) Hook

If you can achieve the first objective of Proof, you can basically filter your visitors into 2 groups.

The first group is made up of people who don’t need your product or service at all. This group of people will not do anything regardless of how good your product is. Ignore them.

The second group consists of people who have a need for your product or service, but they may or may not buy it. This is the group of people you want to Hook!

I believe you should have guessed it by now that what I mean by Hook is to get them into your list. Whether they are going to buy or not, you will want to convert them into your list because they are your target prospects now or in the future.

How to convert them into your list is another huge topic. In short, the trick that has been working for me is to provide a free version of the service I’m offering. If you can somehow offer a free version of the product or service that you are selling, I highly suggest that you offer that option. This way, you can capture all the people belonging to the second group.

3) Offer

Once you have a system to Hook your hot prospects, the next thing you must do is to give them a good reason to take action now - i.e. buy your product NOW!

In real life, you don’t propose to your new girlfriend the first day you’re engaged. But in sales, you MUST do so. In Mandarin, we say “Hit The Iron While It’s Hot”.

You can use strategies like “one time offer”, “increasing price strategy”, “limited supply strategy”, “time-sensitive offer”, “fast action bonus” and many other tricks. The idea is to give them enough reasons to take action NOW or they will either miss a great discount or great offer.

Typical conversion rate is about 10%. My best record is 60%, meaning every 5 people who opt-in, 3 are paying customers.

4) Over-deliver

For those who reject your initial proposal, you now enter a long-term courtship. Your job is to over-deliver.

Depending on your strength, you can over-deliver by providing good tools, resources, services, videos tutorials, blog and many other things. Make them remember you and trust you.

5) Offer again

Finally, never be afraid to find good opportunities to offer them again. You can either offer them the same product or you can offer them other products.

There are many ways to skin a cat. As long as the relationship is built and you can identify their needs, there are plenty of ways to make money from your list.

How To Convert Traffic Into Sales? (Part 2)

Last week, we talked about how to convert traffic into “ad-click” sales. Today, we will discuss how to convert traffic into “product” sales.

Similar to ad-clicks, the “prerequisite” of any product sales is targeted traffic. Whether you’re getting traffic from search engines, PPC or other advertising channels, the traffic must be interested in your product.

If you are getting traffic from the search engines, you’ll have to note that in addition to getting targeted traffic, you have to get traffic from keywords that can convert into sales. For example, you may be getting lots of traffic from the keywords “ideas for Christmas presents”, yet not making any sale. Instead, a low volume keywords of “unique Christmas present for mum” may get you some sales. Like it or not, certain keywords simply convert better than others and you need to find out what these keywords are!

With that prerequisite in mind, let’s look at the strategies to convert traffic into product sales, including affiliate sales and sales of your own product.

1) How To Convert Traffic Into Affiliate Sales

Whether you are selling your own product or affiliated product, the most important factor is trust or confidence.

For those of you who have read my Insider Advertising Report, you will know that Sales Is A Transfer Of Confidence.

If you are selling an affiliated product, you can build trust in 2 ways:

i) Give a personal encounter of your experience with the product that you recommend.

- This is usually a one-page review on how the product has benefited you. The storyline will always be something like “I was having so and so problem…. then I found this product…. then my problem is solved.”

- In this model, the visitors are likely to read your experience in detail and eventually click to the product site.

ii) Build a ’seemingly’ trustworthy niche site, one that seems to have great info and great reviews, with prominent links or banners linking to your affiliated product.

- Such a niche site usually have 5-10 pages of relevant contents, with the objective of making the site look as if it understands the niche well. Every article should link to your affiliated product. In addition, every page should have a prominent banner that links to the affiliated product. This is important because the number of traffic to your affiliated site has a direct impact on the number of sales you make.

- In this model, you don’t really expect your visitors to read the articles. The articles and entire website are just to make them trust your site before they go to the affiliated site.

As an affiliate marketer, your main job is to build “instant” trust and then focus on how you can redirect as many of that traffic to the affiliated site as possible. In other words, simply repeat this process… Build Trust, Redirect… Build Trust, Redirect… The more you repeat this process, the more commissions you will make. It’s a numbers game.

You can’t really measure how well you’ve built trust, but you can measure how many visitors who leave your website visit your affiliated site. Your job is to increase that click-through rate. Focus on the click-through and commission will follow!

If you are an affiliate marketer who simply advertise the actual sales page, the above strategy will not be applicable. For you, your success depends a lot on how well the sales page is written and how targeted is your traffic.

2) How To Convert Traffic Into Sales Of Your Own Product

Selling your own product is slightly harder because you can’t recommend your own product and expect people to trust you.

This is so true that one of my clients always advertise his product in the capacity of a product user, with a presale letter describing how he has benefited from the product. If you are a product owner, this can be a strategy worth considering.

There are quite a bit of strategies I would like to share with you on how to convert traffic into sales of your own product, but today’s article is already a little stretched. I’ll leave this part to next week’s blog. Stay tuned.

How To Convert Traffic Into Sales? (Part 1)

By now you probably realize that getting traffic is easy, but knowing how to convert traffic into sales is harder!

In today’s blog, I’m going to share with you some practical tips on how to convert traffic into sales.

First, what sales are we referring to?

Are we talking about ad clicks, as in the case of Adsense click-through? Or we’re referring to product sales, as in the case of affiliate sales or sales of your own products or services?

Since they require different techniques, I will discuss them differently.

How To Convert Traffic Into Ad Clicks

The “prerequisite” of any ad-clicks is targeted traffic. Whether you’re getting traffic from search engines, PPC or other advertising channels, the traffic must be interested in the content on your webpage and hence the content of the ads. Without this prerequisite, nothing else can work.

With that prerequisite in mind, let’s look at the strategies to convert traffic into sales (ad clicks in this case).

1) Place an ad above the fold

Don’t worry about making your webpage ugly. Be focused. You want ad-clicks! Just get it.

One of your ads, such as an Adsense ad, should be above the fold (i.e. can be seen without scrolling) and located right in the middle of the webpage. Usually, a good place to put it is immediately below the title.

2) Place an ad near the action button or action link

If you are running a forum or any website where people tend to click on buttons or links to take some actions, place an ad near the most used button.

3) Place an ad at the end of the article

If the visitors happen to read the content on your webpage, you’ll want to offer them something to do after reading. And that something is of course… an ad!

4) Don’t frame the ad!

Don’t frame the ad with borders. Remove any border.

In the offline world, retail shop owners are adopting an open concept, removing glass panels and walls because they realize that this will increase the traffic flow to their shops.

Same goes for the virtual world. Borders prevent people from clicking the contents in it. No borders please.

5) Build instant trust

Nowadays, people are more and more web savvy. You can forget about the old tricks of camouflaging your ad and misleading visitors into clicking your ad. (That is against Google’s terms by the way). If your visitors ever click on your ad, that’s because they want to get the info and they know you’ll make money out of it.

Instead, what you should do is to build instant rapport with your visitors. Make them feel that your website is trustworthy, not a made-for-Adsense site.

No, I don’t mean you have to start writing every article yourself and putting a personal touch in every article. That would be crazy, especially if you have hundreds of niches.

The trick I use is to place a ‘personal’ photo on my niche site, so that visitors can feel that what they are visiting is a little personal site of mine and I am the little expert in that niche.

Of course, I’m not going to put my real photo! You can find tons of free photos here.

That ends part 1 of How To Convert Traffic Into Sales series. Next week, we will continue to discuss how to convert traffic into product sales. Stay tuned…

How To Find JV Partners

In this article, I will share with you some of my recent experiences in finding JV partners.

As you probably know, we’re nearing the launch of our new link building system and I’m dead busy preparing for the launch. One of the things I am busy doing is to find JV partners for the launch.

Getting Big Names To Be Your JV Partners

Thinking that I have a good product and some reputation in the market, I thought maybe I can try sending a JV proposal to some of the big names out there. So I did.

I sent out about 10-15 emails either to their email addresses or via their online support. The result? None. Either they reply with an industry standard reply “My schedule is full” or there is no reply at all.

Kind of expected, but I thought no harm trying my luck.

The lesson? Don’t be disappointed if you are rejected!

Getting Big Names To Be Your JV Partners - The Correct Way

Alright, above is a negative demonstration. Here’s the correct way to do it.

Over the past years, I was acquainted with other big names and have helped them either in their product launches or in other aspects.

This time, when I sent them a JV proposal, most of them respond favorably.

You see, big names are busy. They have their own businesses to run and are not in any need to promote any product. The only reason they will consider your JV proposal is because you’ve done them a favor in the past.

So before you even think of approaching big names as JV partners, you probably need to start building rapport months or years ahead. If they have a product launch, help them in the launch and be one of the top sellers. Get them to know you in person. This will dramatically increase your chance of getting them to help you in your product launch.

The Ultimate Way To Find JV Partners

As I always emphasize, whether it’s through advertising, JV partnership or other “instant” traffic approach, the traffic is short-lived. Ultimately, it is your viral system that multiplies these instant traffic into long-term passive traffic.

The same principle applies to finding JV partners.

Take our new link building system for example, the beta members and other invited JV partners have brought in hundreds of other marketers for the launch. This is something that I can’t possibly have done with my own effort.

You may think these marketers may not be those big names with big list. But never underestimate the power of small-time marketers. Although those super affiliates can bring in lots of sales as an individual, as much as 80% of the total sales are usually generated by the mass of small-time marketers who can only generate a few sales per person.

Well, that’s my personal experience in finding JV partners. I would love to hear your experience in finding JV partners. If you do, please share it with us below.

By the way, if you are keen to join us for the launch of our new link building system on 22 Feb, this is your last week to join. Just drop us an email at ezjv [at] leadsleap [dot] com. We will send you the details rightaway!

How To Drive Traffic To Your Blog

“I am a blogger with Adsense now and I need to know what I can do in LeadsLeap to improve my traffic to my blogs to make money from the ads?” - Love in Jesus, Marina.

There are many things you can do in LeadsLeap to drive traffic to your blog. Here are some of the ways I can think of:

1) Set up your LeadsLeap ad

The easiest way to drive traffic to your blog is to set up your LeadsLeap ad. If you have an ‘okay’ written ad, it should drive some traffic to your blog. If you upgrade your account, it will drive more traffic to your blog. If you’re using a free account, make sure that you have positive credits in your account or you should build a team that you can advertise to.

2) Build a list

As a blogger, you must understand the pros and cons of a blog.

A blog is good at attracting Search Engine Traffic and building relationship with your prospects. But it is not effective in retaining traffic, especially traffic generated from advertising.

This means if you advertise your blog, chances are you are driving traffic ‘through’ your blog, i.e. the traffic just come and go.

To me, that’s a waste.

You should try to retain the traffic (a.k.a build a list) so that you can drive this traffic back to your blog again and again.

You can easily build a list with two of the tools provided in LeadsLeap:

- List Builder Script: Install this script to your server and you’re ready to build a list (as well as a full-fledged business).
- SlideSense: Add SlideSense to your blog to send your blog traffic to your opt-in offer.

3) Practice search engine optimization

If you are running a blog, but not practising search engine optimization, you are missing the greatest power of blogging.

Though LeadsLeap has YET to develop any tool to help you in this search engine optimization, I’ve written many articles in this blog to teach you how to do it. Read this blog. If other members get result after following my advice, there’s no reason why you can’t.
