Search Engine Optimization Tips - ‘The Other Secret’

If you are new to search engine optimization and wondering what is the secret in getting top ranks in the search engines, the secret is link building. That’s not what I’m going to talk about today because I have talked enough in other search engine optimization tips in this blog.

What I’m going to talk about today is the “other secret”.

You see, with some keyword research and link building effort, it is not hard to raise the ranks in the search engines. The challenge is how to stay there. With millions of new webpages being added each day, and more and more marketers becoming SEO savvy, your competitors will beat your ranking sooner than you think.

The solution? More backlinks!

The truth is, link building is a never-ending chore and if you want to keep your position, you literally have to keep building links to your website for as long as the website exists. That can be a daunting task and many people give up.

So how can you overcome this problem?

One way is to outsource. This means you pay other people to do the daunting job. View outsourcing as a form of leverage. The degree of leverage varies dramatically, from engaging someone to write or spin articles to engaging a professional to do the entire process of link building. Treat link building as a necessary expense, just like the need to employ a person to man a brick-and-mortar store, so that you can free yourself from doing other things, such as developing more websites or networking.

Another way is to encourage your visitors to link to you. This is only possible when you have a website that truly provides good values and good solutions to a problem, so good that people are willing to quote your website in forums or in their blogs. In fact, this is the true backlinks that Google wants.

Both ways should be used concurrently.

Your Blueprint To SEO Success

If you were to build a website with intention to use search engine as its main traffic source, here is the blueprint I would advise.

1) Build a site that provides true values. Forget about those made-for-adsense websites. Fill the site with good articles and good online applications that people can use. They will be the ‘link baits’ that your visitors will bite and voluntarily spread your website. A good affiliate program can expedite the spreading process tremendously. If not, you’ll need to be a bit more patient.

2) Build backlinks. Either do it yourself or get someone competent to do it for you. This step is necessary until your website is rooted in the search engine and when more people link to your website voluntarily.

3) Add more webpages to your website with the intention to target more keywords. Note that each webpage should target at most 2-3 keyword phrases, usually only 1 keyword phrase. This means the more webpages you have, the more keywords you can target and hence the more traffic you can potentially receive.

4) Rinse and repeat step 2 and 3, with the intention to create more link baits. Remember, a link bait can either be a content or an online application. As more visitors come to your website and find it useful, it is inevitable that some will spread your webpages to others and that’s when more backlinks will be established on autopilot. That’s what you want to achieve eventually.

Many marketers missed Step 4 and they work very hard to do Step 2 and 3. Start your website on the right track and your SEO journey will become easier and easier. If not, you will become exhausted eventually, regardless of how hard you work initially.

In my next post, I will show you an example of what I mean by link bait. Stay tuned.

The Secrets Behind 1 Million Traffic A Day

About 2 years ago, I started a link building network called ezarticlelink.com. The basic idea of this network is that members set up an article directory in some of their websites, allow other members to post articles to it and they can do likewise.

Fast-forward 2 years now, guess what….

The entire network of article directories (more than 4000 of them) are getting more than 1 million traffic a day from the search engine. This is something I’ve never expected.

How do we make it happen? Well, that’s what I’m going to share with you in today’s post.

You see, getting traffic for the article directories, honestly, is not the intended objective. The intended objective of the system is to help its members to get backlinks through posting articles.

But simply posting article to a ton of websites isn’t going work, because most of the articles are not going to be indexed, or even if they are indexed, they do not have much link value. This is what is happening to many link building networks in the market now.

The solution? Backlinks, again.

That means in order to make those published articles worth more, you have to build links to those articles that eventually link to you. That’s why nowadays, you see tons of “link booster” system flourishing.

Understanding this fact, we devised a system to ping and build backlinks to EVERY article posted in the article directories in our network, before these articles eventually link to our members’ websites.

Imagine a website where every article posted in it has got other websites linking to it. That’s the picture of each of the article directory in our network, in the eyes of the search engine.

What happens when the search engine sees such a website? If the search engine can talk, he will say “wow, this got to be a popular site with many people are raving about it”.

As a result, the articles posted in our article directories rank very well in the search engine. In fact, in total, they receive over a million traffic every day. (We know it because all the articles are served via our server and we record the daily hits.)

That is one part of the equation, the most important part.

The other part of the equation is relevance.

The article directories in our network are a general one, yet the articles posted in them can rank well in almost any niche. Why is that so?

The reason is we make sure that everything at “article level” is niche focused. For example, we make sure that for each article, all the links from that article page to other articles are in the same niche and all the links that link to that article are also from the same niche.

This means what the search engine is seeing is an article about, say yeast infection, with links to other articles about yeast infection and has got other yeast infection articles from other websites linking to it.

Since the objective of the search engine is to provide relevant resources to its users, each article in our article directory appears to be a good resource on any given niche, and hence the good ranking.

That, my friend, is the secrets behind 1 million traffic a day. If you practice these two secrets on your website, there is no reason why you can’t rank well in the search engines. By the way, just to make sure you don’t get the wrong idea, I’m not asking you to create thousands of article directories! The secrets I’m talking about are backlinks and relevance.

Google’s Algorithm Change in 2011 And Its Impact

On 24th Feb 2011, Google announced a major change in its search algorithm. This time, the target of this change are those content farms.

I’m not going into the details of the change. You can read it here.

Following the change, I receive lots of inquiries all asking about its impact on our Ezarticlelink network. Well, I’ll come to that later. But first, let’s take a look at some interesting research I’ve done.

Who Are Hit By The Change?

Following the announcement, Matt Cutts (head of Google’s Webspam team) said, “Google has been thinking for quite some time about how to deal with content that isn’t obvious spam but is clearly not designed with the best interests of the user in mind. Google needs to be open to ways where we can improve.”

When I read this, my immediate feeling was Matt is referring to sites like Ezinearticles and other article directories, which have been gaining a lot of traffic under the new Google Caffeine system.

You see, these article directories are not spam, neither are they qualified as a great resource. Yet they seem to be dominating Google’s search result, simply because tens of thousands of webmasters are working very hard to build contents as well as backlinks for them.

Is my feeling right?

You bet!

Take a look at the traffic stats for the 3 highly popular article directories: Ezinearticles, Associatedcontent and Buzzle.

As expected, all got hit! But taking regular fluctuations into consideration, Ezinearticles got the least hit of all.

My next suspects are Squidoo and Hubpages, since they work like article directories in many aspects. Here are their traffic stats:

Hubpages is obviously hit by this new change. Taking regular fluctuations into consideration, Squidoo’s impact is not really significant.

It does seem that the new algorithm is doing what it should do, i.e. to penalize content farms.

But is that really the case?

Well, let’s take a look at another content farm, one that I absolutely salute to - Bigresource.com

For those who don’t know about this site, Bigresource is a mega website that scrapes contents from all over the net, from forums to blogs, organizing them into related topics and then present them in its own search engine optimized pages.

Technically speaking, this website has no unique content at all. All its contents are short paragraphs from other websites on the net. Take a look at one of its pages to see what I mean.

I expected this website to be heavily hit by the new algorithm, but take a look at its traffic stats:

There is no significant impact!

Finally, let’s take a look at the articles published in our article directory network.

Below is a screenshot of Google’s search result for a term that I searched.

The results can be summarised below:

#1 & 2 position - 2 articles from ehow.com
#3 & 4 position - 2 articles published in our article directories
#6 position - article from articlesbase.com
#7 position - article from hubpages.com
#9 position - article from ezinearticles.com

It seems that the articles published in our article directory is still doing pretty well in Google’s search result.

Something to note about the 2 articles in our article directories is that they are spun version of the same article. You can see their similarity in the screenshot above. This suggests that spun articles are still considered unique under the new algorithm.

My Guesses…

From all the information I’ve gathered, here are some ideas I arrive at:

1) It’s not the end of the world.

What I mean is the content farms are hit, but they are still getting tons of traffic from Google. So it’s not the end of the world for them and many other webmasters.

2) Content duplication is still okay.

I say so because Bigresource.com is relatively unaffected by the new algorithm, suggesting that content uniqueness is still not a big deal.

But do note that Google evaluates duplicated content based on the overall webpage. This means if you put 30 paragraphs of duplicated contents, taken from all over the net, as what bigresource.com does, you’ve got unique content! I believe this is still the case under this new algorithm, as evident in the studies above.

3) Backlinks are still more important

From the studies above, you can see that Ezinearticles and Squidoo are less hit by the new algorithm. What could be the reason?

Is it because they have better contents? I don’t think so.

What I do know is most marketers, when publishing contents in article directories and social publishing platforms, will only build backlinks to selected sites. In the case of article directories, most marketers will only build backlinks to their articles in Ezinearticles. In the case of social platforms, they will only build backlinks to their Squidoo Lenses.

What that means is these two sites not only have a high site authority, but also have lots of backlinks to lots of their internal pages, as compared to other sites that have equally high site authority but relatively less backlinks to their internal pages.

Could that be the reason why these sites are less hit? Well, that’s my guess. What’s yours?

Using Google Keyword Tool - Answers To Some Doubts

Recently a member at EzArticleLink have some doubts on using Google Keyword tool for keyword research. I think some of you may have the same doubts. I hope this my answers will be useful to you….

Qn: 1. When I try to find a best keyword for my website or blog, I will use Google keyword tools to look for the keyword that has enough searches per month, so which type of keyword to use: broad, [exact] or “phrase”?

Technically you should use either “phrase” or [exact] search. This is because broad search may give misleading result.

For example, under broad search, ‘cure yeast infection’, ‘yeast cure infection’ and ‘yeast infection cure’ will all give the same result. But common sense tells us that no one in their right mind will search for ‘yeast cure infection’.

Having said that, in most cases, I simply use broad search, just for convenience since the default is broad search. But I use my common sense when doing the search!

Practically it doesn’t really matter which one you use. This is because your objective of using Google Keyword Tool is to find keywords with more demand and less competition. The absolute value of the number of searches is just an indication. Rightfully, you should check the competition of the keywords from the highest demand to the lowest demand, hopefully to find a good keyword will low competition as soon as possible!

Qn: 2. What is the global or local search volume that we are looking for in order to get significant traffic, using the keyword obtained in Qn1?

If you want significant traffic (more than 100 traffic a month) from one particular search term, the search volume (global or local) has to be more than 10k, using “phrase” match type. But in many cases, such search terms are pretty competitive.

Many people dream of getting top rank for a competitive search term and hence getting lots of traffic from it. But the practical truth is you are more likely to get lots of ‘negligible’ traffic from hundreds of non-competitive keywords. For example, if you get 20 traffic a month from 100 keyword phrases and that translate into 2000 traffic to your website. Such a scenario is more likely to happen, rather than 2000 traffic from 1 highly competitive keyword phrase.

Also, for competitive keywords, you are not likely to shoot down the top spot without first dominating the longer-tail keywords. For example, if you want to target ‘yeast infection’, you will need to first rank well for longer-tail phrases such as ‘yeast infection symptoms’, ‘yeast infection treatment’ etc. Similarly, to rank well for the longer-tail phrase such as ‘yeast infection treatment’, you will need to first rank well for even-longer-tail phrases such as ‘natural yeast infection treatment’ and ‘best yeast infection treatment’. And the list just goes on….. That’s why some websites seem to dominate the entire niche.

My purpose of telling you all these is to let you understand the fact that search engine optimization is not just looking at a specific keyword phrase. You need to target a group of keywords. Same thing to link building. You should build links through a group of anchor texts from longer-tail to long-tail to short keyword phrases.

Qn: 3. When I found the keyword with reasonable search in Qn1 and 2, I will place the keyword in Google search bar and search for the competition. Which type of keyword to use: broad, [exact] or “phrase”?

I use broad search. Some marketers like to use “Phrase” search. Very few marketers I know use [Exact] search.

Again, it’s a matter of preference. If you use broad search, you will get more search results. Your criteria will be different as compared to “Phrase” search results.

Practically, I believe most web surfers will not add ” ” or [ ] when they search for something. ” ” and [ ] are more for advanced users or internet marketers. If you want to study the competition under typical scenario, it’s more logical to use broad search.

Qn: 4. What is the amount of competition in Qn3 that is considered low or good to use?

For broad search, any search term with less than 50,000 competing sites is a good keyword. But besides the number of competing sites, you should also study the PR and nature of the top 10 listing.

If you see articles from ezinearticles.com or other article directories being listed on the first page, regardless of the number of competing sites, go for that keywords!!

Or if all the top 10 listings have PR 1 or 0, regardless of the number of competing sites, go for it!!

Conversely, if a search term has less than 50,000 competing sites, but the top 10 listings are dominated by webpages with PR 4 and 5, your chance of getting to the first page is very slim, at least in the short-term.

Lastly, you should also consider whether the keyword phrase you plan to target is for the homepage or internal page. If it’s for the homepage, and the keywords are found in the domain name, you can be a bit more daring. For example, you can try to compete for search terms where the top 10 listings have PR 2 or 3. For internal pages, it’s better to start with less competitive keywords.

Why This ‘Junk’ Site Does Well Under Google Caffeine

In my last post, I discussed the SEO impact of Google Caffeine, and I mentioned a ‘junk’ authority site that does well under the new Google Caffeine.

But before I continue, I need to make it clear that my intention is not to belittle this site. I simply want to use it as a case study to show you that it is still possible to dominate Google’s search result, without having to build the next wikipedia.

Without beating around the bush, here is the site.

This site has lots of page 1 ranking in Google (see proof here).

But if you study into this site, you will realize that most of the articles in this site are PLR articles, either partially rewritten or with sentences jumbled up.

Question is, how on earth does this site do so well in Google?

As I explained in my previous post, Google is biased towards authority sites. This site is an aged site (started in 2003), with PR 5, and it has tons of articles (though not original). That basically meets the requirement of an authority site.

To Google, this site is technically looking like another Wikipedia or Ezinearticles.

But that is not all. This site is good at categorizing its contents.

For example, if you go to one of its article pages, say a page on bathroom decor, you can see that there are many other links to articles related to bathroom decor.

Google loves the idea of a niche encyclopedia. It loves this concept yesterday, it loves this concept today, and I am very sure that it will continue to love this concept in the future.

Why? Because that’s what Google is all about. Google’s aim is to return the best webpages with the info that people search for, and the best webpage is one that contains everything related to the search term.

In this aspect, this site has done quite well.

Last but not least, the site owner has spent a lot of effort in establishing backlinks, not just to the homepage, but also to the internal pages. (You can do a link search in Yahoo to verify this.) This is an important factor in establishing the authority level of the site.

So in summary, an authority site + encyclopedia-typed of content management = great ranking in Google. That, I believe, is the success of this site.

So, how tough is it for you to do something like this? ;)

Google Caffeine SEO Impact (With Case Study)

On 8 June, Google announced the completion of its new search engine indexing system called Google Caffeine. Over the past 2 weeks, I have been doing all kinds of research and site analysis, to find out what is the SEO impact of this new Google Caffeine, what does it mean to internet marketers like us and how it affects our search engine rankings.

It turns out that the impact is HUGE, but it’s within my expectation.

First, let’s look at what Google says:

“Caffeine provides 50 percent fresher results for web searches than our last index, and it’s the largest collection of web content we’ve offered.”

Hm…. 50% fresher results!!! That means before Google Caffeine, tons of webpages were not indexed by Google. If you still think Google will index all your webpages, think again.

With 50% more results, what do you think will happen?

Yes, more competition!

But that’s not all. (More bad news coming…..)

After all the analyses, I only have one conclusion about the new Google Caffeine system. That is, Google Caffeine gives A LOT more weight to Site Authority!!!

Let’s do a case study to show you what I mean. In March, I showed you a screenshot of how I dominated Google’s first page with 9 out of 10 results. To refresh your memory, check out this screenshot again: http://www.leadsleap.com/blog/dominating-googles-first-page-see-what-i-mean-here/

Let’s do a search for the same keyword and see what is happening now (see screenshot below):

The first result belongs to a member of our link building system, who submitted articles to our network to get hundreds of backlinks to his webpage. And that gets him to the first position.

The 2nd and 3rd results are the articles this member has submitted and published. (In March, his article dominated 9 results out of 10, but now, only 2 results left.)

So what happened to the rest of the results? Who has replaced them?

As I said, in the new Google Caffeine system, Site Authority plays a VERY important part. The rest of the results are taken by Big Boys like Amazon.com, About.com, Ezinearticles.com and Investopedia.com.Something worth noting is these big boys manage to grab the first page even though the title of their webpages do not match the search term fully. This shows how much extra weight Google Caffeine is giving to Site Authority.

In fact, this is what I generally notice for those search terms that I’ve lost. They are now dominated by authority sites, even though the webpage itself has no backlink at all.

Some of you may ask, “So, what makes an authority site?” Well, no one has a definite answer. But what we do know is it has all kinds of backlinks pointing to different pages of the site, especially the homepage (hence a high homepage PR), and has lots of fresh contents (no need to be all unique) and last but not least, it is old.

In my next blog post, I will show you one ‘junk’ authority site that does well under the new Google Caffeine. Through that study, you will have a better idea of how you can create the legendary authority site! Stay tuned…

Make Money Blogging With Google’s Free Tool: Wonder Wheel

Nowadays it seems that everyone is a blogger. Whether you are a new blogger or a blogging expert, I’m sure you will come to a point when you ask yourself: “What should I write today?”

Today I’m going to show you a fun tool from Google that can help you to think of all kinds of topics to write for your blog. With this tool, you will never run out of ideas again.

This tool is called Google Wonder Wheel.

I’ll show you how to use this tool with an example.

Say you have a blog on the Internet Marketing niche. Now, head to Google.com and type in Internet Marketing in the search box.

On the right hand side of the Google result page, you will see a link that says “More search tools”. Click on that.

Look for a link that says “Wonder wheel”. Click on that.

Voila, you’ve got a powerful visual keyword research tool.

You can click on each of the keywords to spin off another ‘wheel’.

Design Your Blog Or Niche Site Using Google Wonder Wheel

A powerful application of this tool is to design the structure of your website or blog using Google Wonder Wheel.

For example, the main categories of your website will be the 8 keyword phrases return by the Wheel. Further spin-off can be other deep link topics that you can add to your site.

An important part of search engine optimization is content relevance. If you design your website based on what Google thinks is relevant, it’s a no-brainer that your website will get a boost in the search engine ranking, at least in Google.

Have fun playing with this tool.

A Simple Trick To Stop Backlink Leak

If you run your own affiliate program, and also build traffic from search engine, today’s tip will be very useful to you.

Most affiliate links look something like this:

www.yourProgram.com?r=referid

With a good affiliate program, you can easily get hundreds or thousands of websites linking to your homepage through the customized affiliate links.

Does it mean you have hundreds or thousands of backlinks pointing to your homepage? Sad to say, NO!

Search engines treat www.yourProgram.com?r=referid as a new url that is different from www.yourProgram.com. So when someone links to www.yourProgram.com?r=referid, it is as good as linking to another url on your website. That link will not count as a backlink to your homepage.

Fortunately, there is a simple trick to overcome this problem. It’s by using 301 redirect.

301 redirect means “permanently moved”. When you add 301 redirect on www.yourProgram.com?r=referid, pointing it to www.yourProgram.com, you are telling the search spiders that the referral url has permanently moved to your homepage.

301 redirect is search engine friendly. The search engines understand that since a url is permanently moved to another url, all the links on the former url should now belong to the new url.

How To Create 301 Redirect?

This is a technical question and I will not go into the details. There are many technical blogs and forums on the net where you can get the details. In this article, I’ll just show you what I use for my own websites. It’s a simple PHP script that I add to the index.php file of my websites.

<?
if ($r <> “”) {
header( “HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently” );
header(”Location: http://www.yourProgram.com”);
exit();
}
?>

This script simply says if ?r=[someReferID] exist, i.e. if it’s an affiliate link, add 301 Redirect on that page and redirect it to your homepage.

With this code, the search engine will ignore the referral url and credit all the backlinks to your homepage.

Dominating Google’s First Page. See What I Mean Here.

Take a look at the screenshot below. This is what I mean by dominating Google’s first page.

Out of 10 results in the first page, 9 are articles from the same author, syndicated on different websites.

The last result is a YouTube video, which is something Google tries to include in every result page.

In fact, for this particular search term, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th page of Google are mostly dominated by the same article.

Interested to know how it’s done?

In today’s blog, I’m going to show you exactly how it is done. Yes, I know exactly how it’s done because I’m the person behind it.

What happened is this article is an article submitted by one of the members at ezArticleLink, our new link building system.

The article gets published in hundreds of other domains in the system, over a period of time, so as to get backlinks to that member’s site.

Now, the question is, if you write an article and publish in hundreds of article directories, will you get the same result?

Not likely, because most of the articles are buried deep in the directory and more importantly, there is no backlink to those articles.

Then what makes this article different?

I’m not going to hide anything. Here are the reasons:

1) Unique article

The article has been spun according to our spinning requirement. This ensures that every published article is unique (at least in the eyes of Google).

To ensure good user experience, Google does not display duplicated contents. It will only choose the most relevant one (usually the one with the most backlinks) and show it.

For Google to show all your articles in one page, that article must be unique. So to Google, it is showing 9 different articles.

2) Highly relevant content

Google’s objective is to return the most relevant webpage for a given search term.

By means of relevance, I mean…

i) The title of the webpage must be relevant

As you can see from the screenshot, all the titles contain the search keyword, except for the 9th listing, which is something else (actually an error with that site that cause it not showing the correct title and the problem has just been fixed).

ii) The content in the webpage must be relevant

In this case, every webpage you see in the screenshot above has content related to the keyword. NO OTHER miscellaneous content or randomly generate content in it.

iii) The internal links and outgoing links in the webpage must MOSTLY be relevant

Except for some standard navigation links such as home, contact, privacy etc, ALL the links in the above webpages, be it internal links or external links, are about ETF, stock or forex trading.

3) Highly relevant backlinks

This is the most important factor.

Each of these webpages you see in the screenshot above have highly relevant backlinks from other unique webpages from different domains. This is possible because of ezArticleLink’s auto link building system.

When I say highly relevant backlinks, I mean 2 things:

i) The anchor texts of the backlinks contain the search term.

ii) The backlinks are from webpages with relevant content

That’s all. When you have all the 3 ingredients in one place, plus if that search term isn’t too competitive (in this case, there are 62k competing sites), you get amazing results like this.

This is a good example to show you how to create webpages that Google likes. Take note of these factors when you create your next webpage or website.

SEO Case Study - Free SEO Tutorial (Part 6)

I have almost covered all you need to know about SEO in Part 1 to 5 of our Free SEO Tutorial series.

Today will be the last episode.

The best way to sum up this tutorial series is to give you an SEO case study of successful website. A good example I can think of is Ezinearticles.com.Unless you are very new to the IM industry, you should know Ezinearticles.com. You probably also know that the articles in Ezinearticles get very high ranking in Google search results.

But why?

As the old saying goes, “success leaves tracks”. Today, let’s try to find these tracks! If you found any tracks that I missed, feel free to add them in the comments section.

1) High Site Authority

Ezinearticles has a high site authority. As discussed in Free SEO Tutorial (Part 1), when you have a high site authority, anything you post will turn gold! A little exaggerated, but you get the idea.

What really makes it an authority site is everyone’s guess. But these are some of the clues we can gather:

i) Age. Checking on whois.net, Ezinearticles.com was created in 1999. Google.com was created in 1997. So Ezinearticles is only 2 years younger!

ii) It has a PR of 6 now. It means it has lots of backlinks to the site.

iii) It has lots of contents (some unique, mostly duplicated due to the nature of its service).

iv) It has lots of backlinks to its internal pages, i.e. the article pages.

All these are the known factors that contribute to a site authority, and it has all of them!

2) Relevant Webpage Content And Links

The article page in Ezinearticles is keyword focused. If you go to an article about dog, you will notice that everything on that page is about dog. That includes all the internal links.

If you are a blogger, this is an important clue for you. If you are blogging everything under the sun (which is okay), please avoid plugins like popular posts, recent comments etc. This is because the randomness nature of the content generated by these plugins will dilute the relevancy of your blog post. Instead, you should use plugins like related posts that will show only related articles. Always ask yourself, how can you become a mini Ezinearticles?

3) Lots Of Keyword-Focused Internal Links

Having relevant internal links on every webpage is not good enough, you need lots of them! Go to any article page on Ezinearticles and count how many internal links there are. Besides the standard navigation links, it has 45 other internal links all linking to other webpages in the same niche!

You see, Google Search’s objective is to return the most relevant resource that people search for. If your webpage has lots of internal links to other webpages related to the searched keywords, your webpage looks like a great resource center. That’s what Google likes!

4) Lots Of Keyword-Focused Internal Links

Same title as point #3. It’s not a mistake.

There is another benefit of having lots of keyword-focused internal links. It has to do with content duplication.

Since Ezinearticles allows webmasters to publish its articles on their websites, it naturally creates duplicated contents. But with 45 other links on every article, they effectively turn every article unique!

A simple word count on the titles of 45 links shows that they can easily amount to 500 words! Ezinearticles articles are usually 250 to 1000 words long. So even if we take an article with 1000 words, with 500 other ‘keyword-focused’ words, that article is easily 50% unique compared to the same article published elsewhere!

Some of you may ask, doesn’t Google check content duplication sentence by sentence? It doesn’t.

Let me point you to another successful website that does a similar trick - BigResource.com.

This site is doing very well in Google. But it doesn’t have any ‘unique’ content. It simply syndicates all kinds of questions posted across many forums on the net, reorganizes them according to their title keywords. When you go to a page, it will show you one of the posts and tons of other links with similar keywords.

Google loves this site because of point 2, 3 and 4 that I just explained. I love this site too because it does provide me convenience in seeking the answers that I want. I think it’s a great idea.

5) Keyword Focused Title

Thanks to its SEO savvy authors, most of the articles posted on Ezinearticles are search engine optimized, with keywords in the title as well as meeting other fundamental SEO factors.
