Strikingly is a builder and host for splash pages, and it has almost solved one of the main puzzles I face as a beginning internet marketer.

When promoting affiliate programs, I have repeatedly seen that using custom landing pages works better than stock company pages. However, I am at a stage where I am not yet ready for operating my own web site for hosting them. I have been looking for cost effective services that make setting up splash pages easy.

Strikingly has a straightforward system based around a graphical editor. You can select from many artistically done templates, backgrounds and layouts, and then adjust them. Elements such as lists of features, social media links and product photos can be added as modules to the page. There is even a simple autoresponder module that lets you add a form for collecting names and emails, and Strikingly will send you the captured data as well as reply back to the person signing up with your autoresponse message. Going beyond splash pages, there are also modules for adding a blog or store.

Strikingly has a free account which gives access to most of the modules and layouts, including even the autoresponder. The free account comes with an unlimited number of splash pages and 5GB data transfer per month. Pro plans, currently at USD 16 per month, get you extras such as domain names, access to raw HTML and Ecmascript on your pages, more modules and more data transfer allowance.

There is also an affiliate program, which can be joined independently of using the service itself. Commission is currently 30% of the first purchase your referral makes.

Why then has Strikingly not completely solved the splash page puzzle? The reason is free Strikingly pages cannot be hosted inside frames, and include a frame breaker script to enforce that. This rules out many channels for promotion. For example, on LeadsLeap, free accounts may not promote frame breakers, and many traffic exchanges prohibit frame breakers flat out. Upgrading to Pro on Strikingly removes the frame restriction, but moves the discussion to another price point.

If you are seeking entry level splash page building and hosting, and can tolerate frame breakers, then I think you may find Strikingly has a solution to your puzzle.
