Learning how to make money with Google Adsense is probably the easiest way to make money online.
In this article, I will show you what it takes to make money with Google Adsense and more importantly, how I got started making money with Google Adsense.

How Much Money Can You Make With Google Adsense?
The sky is the limit, frankly.
But one thing about Google Adsense is that you are not likely to earn a lot of money right from the beginning.
Seriously ask yourself this question:
Would you like to be paid $4k a month? Or being paid $0 in the first month but getting a pay rise of $100 every month thereafter?
If your answer is the former, Google Adsense may not be for you.
But if your answer is the latter, that’s the kind of money Google Adsense can give you - at the minimum!
What It Takes To Make Money With Google Adsense
I’ll keep my answer short. You need to:
Step 1) Conduct keyword research
Step 2) Churn out good articles based on the right keywords
Step 3) Build SEO friendly websites
Step 4) Build links (to boost your search engine rankings)
If you are new to internet marketing, every one of these 4 steps can be a challenge to you. But trust me, each of these 4 steps are simple skills that you can learn and master. Once you’ve mastered these 4 steps, you simply have to repeat the 4 steps again and again.
How I Started Making Money With Google Adsense
To tell you the truth, I had been making pennies from Google Adsense since 2004. But I started making ’significant’ income from Google Adsense after I made a major decision in September 2006.
The major decision was to subscribe to PLRPRO, a premium membership site that gives you 440 unique articles a month in 11 different niches.
One thing I like about PLRPRO is that the founder has done all the keyword research. That saves my work in doing Step 1.
Churning out good articles in Step 2 is also easy, since I already have 440 articles to choose from.
Back in 2006, the only things I needed to focus on was Step 3 and 4. (Today, PLRPRO has grown so much that even Step 3 and Step 4 are semi-automated. With the latest PLRPRO that is launched today, the whole process has been simplified tremendously.)
Before you jump into building your Adsense empire, let me give you a preview of what you can expect.
As I mentioned, I subscribed to PLRPRO in September 2006. In that month, I only built two websites out of the 11 niches given to me. Apparently I wasn’t one of the hardworking members in PLRPRO.
Here’s my Adsense earning from the two websites in October 2006 - $17.57. Nothing impressive. (I purposely blur part of the website url so that you can look at the change in income for each website.)
In November 2006, I made $64.45 with Google Adsense from just two websites. No new website was added in that month.
In December 2006, I added 3 more websites. My monthly Adsense earning was $76.23.
The 3 new websites got established fast and in January 2007, I achieved my first three figure a month Adsense income. In January, I also added 2 new websites.
Things were starting to look promising, weren’t they?
In February 2007, my total websites increased to 9 and my Adsense income for that month was $349.19.
It’s worth noting that out of the 9 websites, 2 of them made me more than $100 a month!
Sidetrack: Take a look at my February stats again and look at my new website that start with www.rom….. I’m very fortunate to have built a website on this niche.
Why?
Because…… Look at what this website is making me now!
$626.54 a month from Google Adsense from just one website! I may be lucky on this niche. So far, it’s my best performing Adsense site.
Ok, let’s go back to my progress……
After 1 year, in September 2007, my Adsense income was $1099.62.
After 2 years, in September 2008, I made $2725.28 from Google Adsense.
Can you see how the income grow exponentially?
All the earnings I’ve shown above are from websites built using articles from PLRPRO, excluding my Adsense income from other sources. This gives you a better assessment of the potential of PLRPRO.
Final Remarks
In my opinion, Adsense is the easiest way to make money online. As long as you are willing to work, you will surely make money. There is no need to know how to write good sales letters or presell affiliate products.

Are You Tired of Failing at Working from Home?
Congratulations, Kenneth, you managed to do it. Better add to this that Adsense may not be for complete newbies, since they do not allow all sorts of promoting of the site. I have often seen Adsense sites in traffic exchanges and that is not allowed.
I tried to avoid every forbidden way to promote and I still lost my Adsense account - don´t still know for what reason - they never gave one..
So it seems to be very important to know exactly where to advertise the sites and in what way.
Good content + natural search engine traffic = Adsense income. You will never get your account banned as long as you follow that.

Dont mean to argue but i dont quite agree with you there about the NEVER. You can follow all the rules and still get your adsense account banned for no reason. It has happened and will continue to happen so if you are making money from adsense i will advice you to make sure you have alternative income as those $%&%$% can cut you off at anytime.

Technically speaking, there is nothing wrong with your site. But I guess you have not done any link building. An “overnight” huge website with no incoming link = spam site. At least that’s what Google thinks.

I just lost my adsense account also. No worries, I have bidvertiser ads on my blogs now.
Just like anything else though, you need the traffic to make money. And hopefully the visitors are not blocking ads.
I have 10 blogs, out of them three are PR3 but still I hardly get anything from google adsense??? why is this. the combined earnings from all the 10 blogs in a day comes to $1 - which i think is even less than peanuts.

Thanks for the amazing post on Adsense. Simple yet powerful! Yes, adsense is a practical way of making money online. Google has some strict policies about how & where the ads can be placed, those terms & conditions need to be followed. Example: Adsense ads cannot be placed near banners OR on websites without any content etc.
I have heard so many Google horror stories that I will not even consider wasting my time and energy with Google Adsense. I did try to get an adsense account earlier this year but I have reconsidered since then. I will not spend the next 3-4 months setting up/tweaking/improving on an adsense account only to have all my hard work and flicked off the tip of Google’s middle finger.
That is just a bit too much power that Google has when it feels it is ok to just shut down an account without giving people a rhyme or reason for doing so. This is not just a hobby, that action may very well affect how much food a woman can put on the table or how many gallons of gas a man can afford to get back and forth to work.
You are not a responsible corporation if you fail to consider how your actions will affect your customers. Or do they forget that their adsense subscribers are also their customers?
Google is too large…and consequently…too greedy.
To be perfectly honest, I think Google needs to go.

I’ll answer your question one by one.
1. When I started, I rewrote them myself. When I made some money, I outsourced.
2. Faster way? Yes, I’ll share with you in the bonus. It’s still a form of outsourcing, but with a twist.
3. Almost everything you need to know about SEO is covered in PLRPRO. The founder of PLRPRO is an SEO expert. He is the guru’s guru in SEO.

Adsense is a very simple way to make money. The secret is to publish as many articles as you could. It may take a few months or a few years to creates many articles. To find articles are not difficult. The real challenge is to promote your articles on internet and make people click on your adesense. To find a website is the most simple. Just open a google account and create blogs from blogspot. You can create 1,000 blogs from blogspot and create 1,000 adsense. In blogspot, there is a “ready made adsense” buttons where you can choose and create. In blogspot you don’t have to know about html to create adsense.
Lately, I realise that we need a tool to monitor traffics for each website/blog where we put adsense. I have more than 50 blogs. From the tool, I get two tips: FIRST, the more contents I add to my website/blog, the more traffic you get, SECOND, the more links I create with other websites/blogs, the more traffic I get.
A few months ago, I joined CBproAds.com where it is a website to promote clickbank products. As a pro member, you will get statistics about number of traffic for each page you put the CBproAds.com ads. So, indirectly, I will monitor the popularity my each website/blog. What I do is to add more contents and add more links (example: by giving comments), then in a few days/week, you notice more traffic to the websites. Try it, it works to me!

I agreed with Koh. Make money from adsense is simple and gives you a passive income. For a start, you may get only 2 cents in a day or nothing. When you publish more articles from day to day and promote it on internet, the income will grow everyday. But in general, you cannot make much money from adsense in a few months or may be years. And there is no short cut to be rich by adsense, specifically.

To me, adsense is a nut. Very simple. But, all depend on us. There is no short cut to be successful. What you plant, is what you get. The more work you put, the more you get. For adsense, you need quality articles and make people come to your sides and click. But not every one will click, so you need thousand of people to come, and for sure, some of them will click. This, what we call the “law of average.”
The most challenges in adsense is to make people visit your sites. This what we call traffic. Traffic is a science. It is preditable and can be measured. It means you need to learn and need times to make your sites are easily “available” when people search.
Some of the technics have been explained by our friends here such as conduct keyword research,churn out good articles based on the right keywords, build SEO friendly websites and build links (to boost your search engine rankings).
Practical adsense information from the beginning to this day, and very detailed. You must make your content business, do not make money business.
Good advice. It can also be applied to yahoo publisher, which has become my personal choice because it’s not as crowded as adsense, but can be just as profitable.

I had joined Adsense for more than 2 years. But had not been making much profit from there. Similar to my affiliate marketing campaign. (though there are some earning now)
From what I see, the biggest problem of all is getting traffic to the site.I tried Adwords to boost traffic to my site. But in the end, I lose more than what I earn.
Maybe I will try some of the methods you mention here.
In practical, it is very challenging to get money online. Not easy…especially for the new players. It need be patient.The most important is advertising. You should mix between paid and free promotion. It need hardwork. I spend at least 3 hours perday to promote my online business.

For adsense? Both can be used. NO for free wordpress, YES for blogspot.
Agreed making money with adsense is the easiest method to implement. But it took me a while to uunderstand the principles of traffic and placement to make adsense work. I think the bad press that adsense gets is a result of poor results due to poor implementation.
I think it comes down to good content. That will in time build good traffic and then some good income. It can’t happen all at once.
Marketing is a process and it remains the same—-lead generation, lead conversion. The same things that drive quality traffic to a site will be the reason that Adsense will work.

For those who can’t afford PLRPRO, they will have to write the articles themselves. But most people will give up that way because it’s really tedious to write so many articles. Making money online is about leveraging. You can DIY everything or outsource and subscribe to services to accelerate your rate of earning.
Step 3 is pure technical, too boring to discuss. Step 4 is discussed somewhere else in the blog.

You can make money with adsense, but be careful with people telling you that you can make thousands of dollars a month. You need quality sites with good information and a promote. But for that you need some to teach ways to profit with adsense, and for good data you need to invest . Remember good content is key. Now if you really serious about Google adsense and want to create multipe Income streams from creating multiple websites with high click trhoughs then i highly recommed Mike chenney´s videos.

plrpro is a membership providing private label articles. It also provides tools that you can use to build your websites, but it’s not an automatic system. You will have to use all the tools provided to produce your websites.

Your background with Adsense is incredible. I have been using adsense for a year now and to date my earnings are $13.79 It’s pretty sad. Like you mentioned earlier in your post about mastering keyword research, seo optimization etc it’s really tough to do so. I may have a look see at the plr service you refer to. The problem with me is keyword research and building traffic. I can pretty much write content fairly well.

Adsense is a slow process, but it’s actually fun. I have started building several niche sites featuring Google Ads. I have watched my profits continue to climb, much like yours.
I have found it easy to build Adsense niche sites using blogs. The content is easy to update, which brings visitors back. My latest dating site, actually includes reviews of online dating services, and is built into a wordpress blog. Online dating is a huge niche, and I look forward to it growing my Adsense profits exponentially.

All over the Internet, every single day, adsense sites are being deleted from the Search Engine listings as “Duplicate Content”.
If the articles used on your sites also appear on other websites on the Internet, there is a very real risk that your web pages will be dropped from the Search Engine listings.
Even if you’re using articles that are limited to 500, 100 or just 10 copies, there is still a serious risk. The only way to avoid this problem is to make your articles unique.
Your comments is right. What I do simple efforts everyday…I editing and additing to my articles. I make changes on the tittles and the content.
At the end of the day, it’s not that hard. Most people that fail to make money online simply fail to take action…

Thank you for taking some of the pain out of my early struggles-I didnt start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel until this month (jan 2010), after about 6 weeks of beating myself up for free every day (and i mean EVERY day) working more hours than i ever had before trying to figure out how to get my pennies a day into dollars. Im still not even making enough to buy the groceries, but I can see the path that you charted taking shape. I had a similar experience. I made about 30 websites maybe 3 years ago which had adsense ads on them. I eventually forgot about them when I moved on to other things. Suddenly in the past few months I started getting bigger and bigger checks from Google and had to log into my adsense account to figure out why. It was my old sites that I haven’t touched in a few years that were starting to get better rankings as they became more aged. Nice little surprise.
